    COMPANY OVERVIEW

    SelecTransportation Resources, LLC, a group of heavy truck dealerships with 400+ employees, located along the Gulf Coast of Texas and headquartered in Houston. Our group of dealerships operates on an internally designed ERP system which was developed by our affiliated company, SelecSoftware, LLC. This system went live January 24, 2016. Since GO LIVE technology has evolved in many ways and we are now looking to convert the application to a better and newer solution using new technologies in the market so we can better serve our employees and customers.

     

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    Our firm needs a Junior/Mid level Full stack Developer to join our growing team. This is a “comprehensive” position encompassing analysis, research, design, and development. We are looking for a professional with experience in front and back end development. The successful applicant will work in collaboration with the executive, systems architect, business analyst and senior developer of the company.

    The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented and highly innovative. As a member of the team, the developer will understand business requirements and system requirements and come up with the most prolific design and working solution for the employees and customers of the business.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    • Gather intelligence from corporate executives, systems architect and business analyst about needs and future growth.
    • Suggest and share prototypes/solutions from past work experience.
    • Front and back end development of websites.
    • Front and back end development of thick client applications.
    • Generating ideas with team members and offering insightful solutions.
    • Strategize and create concepts, wireframes, and mockups that leads to intuitive user experience.
    • Design and create prototypes and user journeys for cross platform usability such as iPads, Surface Pro, PC, and Mobile platforms.
    • Design and Estimate technical solutions per project requirements.
    • Participate in application QA and deployment.
    • Demo of the system designs and working solution to the stakeholders.
    • Clearly communicate research and designs to team and upper management.
    • Assume responsibility for project tasks and ensure they are completed in a timely fashion.
    • Review and recommend new opportunities for enhancing our software, hardware and IT processes.
    • Consult with the executive team and the IT department on the newest technology and its implications in the industry.
    • Create workflow diagrams to visually represent business processes.

    SKILLS REQUIRED

    • Rapid prototyping and ability to evaluate and iterate a design quickly.
    • High ability to leverage participatory design through effective crowd sourcing.
    • Strong ability to create technical and workable solutions to business problems
    • Able to asses an issue, discuss and receive suggestions from management and determine a technical solution
    • Self-starter who can work independently in a challenging situation
    • Demonstrated expertise with Agile/Scrum and waterfall project management methodologies
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively
    • Demonstrated experience of working on large programs
    • Strong relationship building and collaboration skills, must be a team player and able to interface with business and IT stakeholders in order to execute objectives
    • Excellent communication skills – both verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical members of the program team
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and a strong testing aptitude
    • Independent thinker with the ability to perform under pressure.

     

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum 1 year working experience creating designs and prototypes for complex systems.
    • Minimum 1 year working experience implementing UI’s and working solution.
    • Minimum 1 year of SQL database experience writing complex queries, triggers, functions and stored procedures.
    • Minimum 1 year experience in building UI’s using HTML5, CSS3, Angular2+, Typescript, Ajax, and bootstrap 4.
    • Minimum 1 year experience in implementing solutions using ASP.NET Core 2, C#, and MVC 4 +.
    • Working experience with ORM tools such as Entity Framework Core and Dapper.
    • Experience in unit testing using Moq Framework a plus.
    • Experience with Token based Authentication and Authorization.

    COMPENSATION Will be based on education, experience, personality, performance, etc.

    EMPLOYMENT TYPE AND DURATION

    This is a full time position with 90-day evaluation period
