    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Security Analyst II is responsible for operations and administration of the organization's enterprise security solutions and processes.

    The ideal candidate for this job will be an experienced security practitioner.

    This position will act as an operational security contact to assist with tier 2/3 security incident and event management and internal security compliance.

    This is a project based professional role contributing as operational lead for Managed SOC.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Secure areas including infrastructure as code, configuration management, identity and access management, network security across multi-cloud environments, event monitoring and reporting.
    • Work to continually improve the security posture of client-facing applications developed by ensuring risks are identified and appropriately mitigated.
    • Perform periodic security scanning and internal security testing to identify the potential security breach in the working environment.
    • Experience with advanced adversary analysis, SIEM analysis, and deep analysis using blue team and red team pen test tools.
    • Research, recommend and manage EDR policies for enterprise servers, workstations and cloud resources.
    • Assist with internal and external security audits including reviewing processes for policy adherence and verification.
    • Work with cross functional teams including application developers, DevOps, network engineers and systems administrators to maintain database of software, hardware and process artifacts.
    • Develop and document SOC incident response run books with detailed methods and procedures for SOC.
    • Research and assess third-party, tools and services to verify their conformance to security policy.
    • Expected to work under own initiative, prioritize own work, and meet agreed timescales
    • Generate reports for business managers and systems owners to serve as an input to evaluate the efficacy of the security policies

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Fluency with Windows and Linux operating systems and command line tools
    • Knowledge of networking fundamentals
    • Knowledge of virtualization concepts including server and network function virtualization
    • Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, etc)
    • Strong initiative with the ability to analyze and adopt a strategic view
    • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work and lead in a team in environment.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

    TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum 3 years of experience troubleshooting PC's with Windows based applications.
    • Minimum 1 years of experience troubleshooting and remediating security events.
    • 1+ years working with Cloud infrastructure required (Azure/GCP/AWS).
