    Position Description

    Sellers Dorsey is seeking two Associates for our Georgia practice (based in Atlanta, GA – Hybrid) who will support Directors, and Associate Directors in delivering healthcare consulting services in areas such as Medicaid financing and policy, benefits, provider reimbursement, regulatory compliance, managed care, and general business development. This role will provide project management and research support to the project team, including coordinating and tracking action items across the team, preparing for internal and external meetings, and researching policies including state/federal laws and regulations related to healthcare.

    Key Responsibilities/Outcomes

    General Responsibilities and Expectations

    • Associates are expected to account for hours on a monthly basis. They will be provided with targets in each of the Client Servicing areas they support. Any non-targeted hours shall be used for administration, sales and marketing activities, and paid-time-off in consultation with his/her supervisor. Associates are expected to review periodic activity reports and work with their supervisor to develop strategies to ensure expectations for targets are met.
    • Travel may be needed to meet the needs of client servicing. Most travel will be within Georgia; however; national travel may be needed.

    Consulting Services

    • Effectively manage project tasks as directed by the Director and/or Associate Director, including scheduling, creating agendas, drafting necessary meeting materials, capturing, and tracking action items and next steps, distributing assignments to team members, and ensuring that deadlines and assignments are accomplished in a timely and complete manner.
    • Assist with the planning and coordination of meetings, conferences, panels, etc.
    • Draft client deliverables and project management documents, such as project timelines, as directed by the Director and/or Associate Director.
    • Maintain and organize client deliverables and project management documents in the team’s SharePoint folders and project software.
    • Provide research support to support the Georgia Practice.
    • Assume increasing levels of responsibility related to project and client management as directed by the Director and/or Associate Director.

    Key Qualifications

    Education and Work Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree, or 3-5 years professional business or government work experience.
    • Degree in either public policy, public administration, public health, health administration, economics or business with a healthcare focus is not required but strongly preferred.
    • Experience with healthcare, health insurance, or Medicaid is preferred.

    Skills

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel required.
    • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to interact with colleagues and internal stakeholders in a professional manner.
    • Highly efficient, flexible, and motivated.
    • Detail oriented, with experience organizing and coordinating the work of others. Previous project management experience or administrative coordination is strongly desired.
    • Ability to work effectively independently and in teams.
    • Time management skills.
    • Research and analytical skills desired.

    Work Environment
