    Sellers Dorsey is a national leading Healthcare consultancy firm focused on Medicaid strategy and Medicaid finance. We deliver impactful outcomes for our clients with a combination of technical expertise and deep understanding of public policy, government and the national and local political landscape.

    Within our fast-growing national health care consulting firm, and reporting to the Associate Director of Marketing for Conferences and Events, the CONFERENCE AND MARKETING EVENTS SPECIALIST will work closely with members of Marketing, Sales, Consulting, and Client Servicing to ensure the successful coordination of approximately 50 conferences and hosted events.

    With an eye for enabling business development efforts, increasing brand awareness and fostering relationships with strategic partners, the person in this role will possess strong project management skills, world-class organizational skills and proactive energy.  Successful candidates will be detail oriented, thoughtful and strategic in their thinking, and have the ability able to juggle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. The position is based in our Philadelphia office and is hybrid (2 days a week in the office).

    RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

    • Assist Associate Director of Marketing with event strategy, coordination, and logistics for small, medium and large conferences.
    • Manage communication and coordination of conferences attendees including registration, travel, and secondary events such as off-site dinners.
    • Collaborate with Marketing team to develop compelling collateral and various pieces of marketing content to be shared at events.
    • Consider options for new branded giveaway items and interactive booth events to create an impactful experience for current and prospective clients during conferences.
    • Organize promotional materials and maintain up-to-date inventory of all promotional items, conference signage, and conference collateral.
    • Manage packing, shipping and tracking of all conference materials, as well as receipt of return shipments.
    • Use project management software to track deliverables, deadlines, and meetings with Marketing team and conference attendees.
    • Work with Associate Director of Digital Media to coordinate social media and website content creation on the firm’s website.
    • Order event materials and booth furniture through third party vendors as needed.
    • Represent the Marketing team at select conferences, serving as a key onsite point of contact for both internal stakeholders and external vendors.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
    • 2-3 years in Marketing or Events Coordination preferred.
    • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and meet overlapping deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.      
    • Detail oriented with the ability to coordinate and track many moving pieces.
    • Excellent communicator with experience articulating details to different audiences.
    • Strong people skills and ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external.
    • Previous project and task management experience – preferably in Asana – is strongly desired.
    • The ability to work effectively and succeed independently or as part of a team.
    • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills.
