  • Responsibilities

    The Semaphore Network Administrator is the head of the Semaphore IT Department in our California Location. This position analyzes, plans and implements the current and future IT needs of the company while also maintaining computer hardware and software systems. The Network Administrator also troubleshoots IT issues experienced by Semaphore Team Members. This person is responsible for installing new programs, managing updates, providing technical support and resolve technical issues with hardware, software systems and fundamental networking issues. The Network Administrator recommends technical upgrades to the Executive Team in order to maintain the efficiency of the Company’s IT support system. This position reports to the Chief Relationship Officer.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Act as the initial point of contact for all computer and system related problems from Team Members
    • Design, testing and deployment of new computer configurations
    • Analyze and select new technology
    • Formulate management policies for user rights and security
    • Work with vendors to determine system selections based on price, technical functionality, and support
    • Document technical processes and business rules for technology
    • Advise Executive Team on IT issues
    • Maintain a detailed IT job ticket queue listing requests to technical assistance, steps taken to resolve them, and the specific dates/individuals involved
    • Strategize and implement various security and other initiatives with the company’s outside IT consultant
    • Assist management in creating training materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage.
    • Maintain a working log detailed all required system updates, as well as the date of completion
    • Resolve technical issues related to network interruptions
    • Install and configure computer systems and applications within the company
    • Maintain computer systems and network printers and act as support if any system goes down
    • Keep inventory of all equipment, software, and license users
    • Perform system setups for new hires and system terminations for all Team Member departures

    SKILLS:

    • General awareness of computer systems, PC repair, and general of network management and security
    • Ability deploy, configure, and support operating systems on desktop and mobile
    • Extensive experience working with various operating systems (MS Office 365, etc.) (See Certificates below)
    • Positive Attitude, Team Player, Accountable, Proactive Problem-Solver and Keen Attention to Detail
    • Strong prioritization, organization time and project management skills

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 7-10 years’ experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting computer systems
    • 7-10 years’ experience working with MS Office 365 environment

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science

    CERTIFICATES:

    • Fundamental Data Security Knowledge/Certification - COM TIA+
    • Cloud and MS House Technology/Back End - MS Certification - MD-101: Managing Modern Desktops & Microsoft 365 certified Fundamentals
    • Apple Care Mac Technician (ACMT) – Preferred

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
