We are hiring CDL-A drivers for a local grocery delivery account based out of Chester, NY. Drivers will deliver fresh and frozen groceries using 48–53 ft refrigerated trailers to supermarkets and distribution centers throughout the surrounding region.

This position offers consistent freight, daily home time, and steady work delivering essential goods.

Route & Freight Details

Drivers deliver within a 250-mile radius of Chester, NY , including:

• Hudson Valley, NY
• Long Island
• The five boroughs of New York City (after required training)
• Connecticut
• New Jersey
• Pennsylvania (backhaul routes)

Important:
New drivers will not run NYC routes until they have been on the account for at least 6 months and complete training with NYC-certified trainers. Only 20–25% of freight delivers into NYC.

Job Details

• Multistop grocery deliveries
• Typically 15+ stops per week
• Drivers usually run 2 loads per day or one longer route
• Drivers pick up return product or backhauls at final stop
• Mostly no-touch freight (customers typically unload)
• Drivers may occasionally assist using a pallet jack

Equipment

• 48', 51', and 53' refrigerated trailers
• Automatic and manual day cab trucks
• Slip-seat operation
• Trucks cannot be taken home
• Uniforms provided and maintained

Schedule & Work Environment

• Home daily
• Dedicated grocery delivery routes
• Drivers may work holidays if it falls on their scheduled workday
• Drivers may assist other local accounts if needed

Additional Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with 3 months recent experience
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the terminal
• Drivers must demonstrate strong customer service skills
• Must be comfortable with multi-stop delivery routes
