ASSISTANT BUYER
Fast growing semiconductor company is currently recruiting a full-time employee to join our New York office as an assistant buyer.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Issue purchase orders and sample orders to vendors.
- Manage suppliers to enable on-time and predictable delivery of samples and purchase orders.
- Schedule consolidated shipments from suppliers to minimize logistics costs.
- Reviews demand, customer forecast, safety stock and manage inventory allocations.
- Interacts with accounts payable and finance departments to validate purchase and payables compliance and reconciling invoice discrepancies
- Investigate work process improvements for cycle time and cost reduction opportunities
Requirements:
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or other qualified degree with 1 to 3 years of related experience.
- Must be detail oriented with good analytical ability and excellent computation skills.
- Highly positive, motivating, and results-focused attitude, excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Chinese proficiency a plus
