    Job Description

    ASSISTANT BUYER

    Fast growing semiconductor company is currently recruiting a full-time employee to join our New York office as an assistant buyer.

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    • Issue purchase orders and sample orders to vendors.
    • Manage suppliers to enable on-time and predictable delivery of samples and purchase orders.
    • Schedule consolidated shipments from suppliers to minimize logistics costs.
    • Reviews demand, customer forecast, safety stock and manage inventory allocations.
    • Interacts with accounts payable and finance departments to validate purchase and payables compliance and reconciling invoice discrepancies
    • Investigate work process improvements for cycle time and cost reduction opportunities

    Requirements:

    • Associates or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or other qualified degree with 1 to 3 years of related experience.
    • Must be detail oriented with good analytical ability and excellent computation skills.
    • Highly positive, motivating, and results-focused attitude, excellent interpersonal skills
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
    • Chinese proficiency a plus
