Semper Solaris is the fastest growing residential roofing, solar, and HVAC installation company in California. With 9 locations across California we are expanding and looking for a top-notch Corporate Recruiter to join our San Diego team!
Under the general direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Corporate Recruiter performs a wide variety of comprehensive duties. The ideal candidate will be motivated, organized, and detail oriented.
THIS ROLE WILL FOCUS ON HIRING ALL OPERATIONS AND SKILLED TRADES FUNCTIONS AT SEMPER INCLUDING ELECTRICIANS, SERVICE TECHNICIANS, INSTALLERS, INSPECTION TECHNICIANS, CONSTRUCTION MANAGERS, SITE ASSESSORS, AND OTHER UNIQUE FIELD ROLES IN THE SOLAR, ROOFING, AND HVAC INDUSTRIES.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform full cycle recruitment including sourcing and phone screening candidates, conducting in person interviews, and scheduling interviews with hiring managers
- Creating and maintaining relationships with community partners
- Coordinate and attend recruitment events as well as coordinate with staffing agencies
- Negotiating contract rates with agencies and consultants
- Managing job postings, access, and system configurations in ATS (Jazz)
- Provide coaching and follow up with hiring managers
- Drafting job postings and interview questions
- Providing feedback and work with leadership to develop recruitment strategies and process improvements
- Completing timely reporting on recruiting metrics
- Training management on ATS (Jazz)
- Performing reference checks
- Staying up to date with regional and industry specific recruiting and talent acquisition trends
- Performing other tasks as requested by manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience recruiting for skilled trades required
- Prior experience in a start up environment preferred
- Prior experience recruiting for construction or solar preferred
- Skilled with technology and comfortable with multiple applicant tracking systems
- BS degree in business or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience performing full cycle recruiting
- Sales experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using Outlook, Excel and Word
- Ability to manage multiple projects and candidates simultaneously under minimal supervision
