    Job Description

    Semper Solaris is the fastest growing leader in the Residential Solar Installation industry and we are looking for a skilled Jr. Commissions Analyst to join the team. The Commissions Analyst tracks, calculates, and informs the sales and call center team of all commissions earnings. This role will work cross functionally with Sales Leadership and Accounting and will report to the Director of Human Resources.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Communicate via phone and email with various salespeople within the organization
    • Calculate bi-weekly commissions and prepare commissions statements for sales representatives
    • Collaborate with payroll to prepare import files and provide accurate and timely payments
    • Research any discrepancies identified with commission payments
    • Create and maintain the commission calculation work instruction/policy documentation
    • Prepare, calculate, and analyze commissions for 1st and 2nd payouts in accordance with company practices
    • Implement effective controls and reporting to ensure the integrity of commissions calculations and payouts
    • Respond to commissions and bonus inquiries which includes conducting research and preparing commission related adjustments
    • Provide commission expense reporting and analytics
    • Validate and audit monthly commission data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
    • Work cross-functionally with Sales Leadership, Human Resources, and Accounting
    • Perform ad-hoc reporting as needed

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or another field that uses quantitative analysis, or equivalent practical experience
    • Fluent in Microsoft Office with a strong emphasis on Excel data manipulation (functions to include: Pivots, Vlookups, and Sum Ifs)
    • Ability to multi-task and work within specified timeframes
    • Ability to work in a fast paced, self-directed environment
    • Willingness to contribute new ideas and feedback related to potential areas of improvement
    • Experience with Salesforce is a plus
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in sales compensation, commission calculations, and sales support
    • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to self-start and multi-task with limited supervision
    • Strong mathematical and analytical skills for monitoring commission data and resolving commission issues
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze issues, determine appropriate solutions and resolve sensitive problems
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail; ability to look outside the box to see how items coordinate or link together
    • Ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) with all individuals across the organization
