SUMMARY

We are looking for a talented Web Designer to create amazing user experiences. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful web design. This creative minded person will work collaboratively with the Senior Graphic Designer and cross-functional Visual Merchandising partners. We are looking for someone with a passion for makeup and a keen eye for design. The Web Designer should have a strong creative voice who can help take the brand aesthetic to the next level.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with art director, designers and product management team
• Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
• Designing graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
• Build page navigation buttons and search fields
• Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
• Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
• Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
• Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images
• Creating rapid prototypes to validate design concepts with stakeholders and customers
• Knowledge of industry tools such as InVision, Adobe XD, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, WordPress, Umbraco, etc.
• Validating ideas and designs using qualitative testing, split A/B tests and product performance
• Collaborating and communicating professionally with clients and internal team members
• Designing user-experiences from low-fidelity sketches to clickable web based prototypes and hi-fidelity pixel perfect mockups
• Measuring recently released product features to establish benchmarks and to identify potential areas of improvement.
• Staying abreast of UX trends and looking for creative ideas and inspiration in parallel analogous worlds
• Developing interactive reporting dashboards and different types of visualizations
• Highly detailed communication of design principles + direction, as well as design specifications to technology/development team members

QUALIFICATIONS

• Portfolio information must be included (link of reference to URL is good)
• 3+ years corporate  Design experience mandatory. Experience in the beauty/fashion industry preferred.
• High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Word Press
• 3D imaging software knowledge (Sketchup) a plus.
• Experience in pre-press and print production mandatory.
• Must be a self-starter who demonstrates strong initiative.
• Outstanding communication skills: both written and verbal.
• Creative, collaborative, and able to contribute ideas in group settings.
• Exemplary organizational skills, with a high attention to detail.
• Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift to 25 pounds.
