Senior ABA Medical Billing Specialist Remote
About the Role
Home Link International Inc. is seeking a highly experienced, detail-oriented ABA Billing Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely billing for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services.
This is a fully remote position requiring strong expertise in ABA billing, medical billing processes, and revenue cycle management (RCM). The ideal candidate is someone who can work independently, navigate complex payer requirements, and manage billing operations with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities
Billing & Revenue Cycle Management
Process and submit ABA therapy claims to insurance carriers, Medicaid, and commercial payers
Manage the full billing cycle (submission → adjudication → payment reconciliation)
Track and follow up on outstanding claims, denials, and rejections
Post payments and reconcile accounts receivable (ERA/EOB posting)
Monitor aging reports and proactively resolve outstanding balances
ABA Billing & Coding Expertise
Review and verify billing codes, including ABA CPT codes (97151–97158, 97155, 97156, etc.)
Ensure compliance with payer-specific guidelines and authorization requirements
Stay current with industry updates, CPT code changes, and billing regulations
Experience working with Medicaid, commercial insurance, and managed care plans (e.g., Optum, PerformCare/CSOC)
Systems & Technology
Utilize CentralReach (REQUIRED) for billing and documentation workflows
Work across multiple EMR/EHR and practice management systems
Leverage automation tools (e.g., Claim Check AI, Claim Accelerator, RCM tools)
Maintain accurate and organized billing records within systems
Compliance & Audits
Ensure compliance with state, federal, and payer regulations
Manage and respond to prepay/postpay audits (e.g., Optum audits)
Upload and track medical record requests and required documentation
Identify and correct billing discrepancies proactively
Communication & Reporting
Communicate with insurance companies to resolve discrepancies and appeals
Provide regular billing updates and reports to leadership
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to resolve billing issues
Qualifications
Required
3–5+ years of ABA or medical billing experience (ABA strongly preferred)
Proven experience with CentralReach (REQUIRED)
Strong knowledge of CPT coding and insurance billing processes
Experience handling denials, audits, and appeals
Deep understanding of Medicaid and commercial payer systems
Preferred
Experience with New Jersey Medicaid / PerformCare / CSOC services (IIC, ISS, IHH)
Background in behavioral health or ABA service providers
Billing certification (CPC, CBCS) a plus
