About the Role

AES is scaling a startup-focused innovation business unit and is hiring a Senior AWS GenAI & Cloud Solutions Architect with deep hands-on experience in AWS Bedrock, including Amazon Bedrock Agents and AgentCore.

This role focuses on designing, prototyping, and delivering Generative AI solutions for early- and growth-stage startup initiatives. The emphasis is rapid experimentation, POCs, MVPs, and production-ready GenAI architectures built in weeks—not months.

This is an ideal role for architects who enjoy hands-on building, fast execution, and turning early ideas into working AI-driven systems.

What You’ll Do

Architect and deliver Generative AI solutions using AWS Bedrock

Build GenAI POCs, pilots, and MVPs

Work with foundation models (Claude, Titan, Llama, etc.)

Design and implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures

Build scalable GenAI platforms, including vector databases and embedding pipelines

Integrate GenAI into cloud-native and containerized architectures

Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams

Evaluate new AWS AI services and recommend best-fit solutions

Translate ambiguous ideas into working GenAI systems

Core Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock (Agents & AgentCore)

Deep understanding of GenAI architectures and patterns

Experience with prompt engineering, model orchestration, and GenAI security/governance

Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), ECS/Fargate

AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, etc.

Infrastructure as Code: Terraform and/or CloudFormation

What We’re Looking For

7+ years of cloud architecture or advanced cloud engineering experience

Proven delivery of GenAI POCs or production solutions

Strong AWS foundation at Solutions Architect level

Experience in fast-paced startup or innovation environments

Ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Certifications:

AWS Solutions Architect – Professional (Required)

AWS Generative AI Developer – Professional (Nice to have)
