Job Summary
Highly motivated accounting professional to be part of Finance Team. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Accountant will assist with day-to-day operations and play a key role in completing the month-end financial close process.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare Customer dashboards on a weekly basis for internal and external purposes
Monitor project activities to identify areas of weakness and suggest measures to improve
Effectively and efficiently complete the month-end close process, including account analysis and reconciliation as well as recording journal entries.
Ensure all transactions are accounted for in accordance with US GAAP.
Participate in departmental meetings to gain insight into current and future projects and phases
Collaborate with various departments to analyze and resolve problems
Generate accurate, complete and timely reports at the request of management.
Support, enforce, and help implementation internal controls, process improvements and operational efficiencies identified by Corporate Controller and Assistant Corporate Controller.
Approach work and tasks with increasing analytical perspective to determine if results and amounts are reasonable and supported by other data.
Special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
At least 5 years of related experience.
Public accounting experience preferred.
Knowledge and thorough understanding of US GAAP.
Expertise with Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, lookup formulas, etc.
MRP/ERP experience
Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
Working Environment
Generally works in an office environment, but may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting.
Physical Requirements
Interaction with people and technology while either standing or sitting.
Must be able to communicate face-to-face and on the phone.
