We're hiring a data-driven accountant for an integral position on our team. You’ll keep our general ledger up-to-date, ensure the accuracy of our financial information, and use QuickBooks for tracking. Candidates should be experienced problem-solvers, well-organized, detail-oriented, and time-efficient. Responsibilities: • Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial statements • Manage payroll duties to ensure employees are paid on time • Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct daybook, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger • Perform bookkeeping duties: Maintain data on financial statements • Make sure accounts payable/accounts receivable are processed efficiently • Prepare corporate and partnership business tax returns • Prepare business financial statements, including the income statement and balance sheet, using QuickBooks • Cashflow and Budget Analysis Qualifications: • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field • Exceptional knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) • 2+ years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a bookkeeper, cost accountant, management accountant, or similar position • Experience with Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems • Must have 3 or more years of experience in accounting or a related field • Ability to solve problems using critical thinking skills • Understanding of the payroll process and how it works • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred • Must be located in the United States Compensation: $75,000 + yearly depending on experience
