    At Fortcom Health Services, we are committed to providing quality healthcare that improves patients’ lives in the comfort of their homes. As our organization continues to grow, we are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting Department.

    Position Summary:

    The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing highly specialized accounting work required to maintain the integrity of the accounting and financial reporting. Working under the direction of the CEO, the Senior Accountant coordinates with 2 Staff Accountant to maintain the daily activities of the accounting department to quickly and accurately record the revenues, expenditures, assets, and liabilities of our company. The candidate must be an experienced Full-Charge Accountant with supervisory, review, and analyzing financial information to produce error-free accounting reports and present their accurate results.

    Major Responsibilities and Duties:

    Manage and perform Insurance billing processes twice per month (eligibility and reviewing the Billing AR Report).

    Create account receivable invoices import file to import A/R into QuickBooks Desktop after AR billings are done.

    Perform AR Remittance Advices posting of insurance payments into QuickBooks Desktop (MassHealth and MCO Insurance)

    Create AP Caregivers Stipend import file upload into rapid! PayCard

    Create Accounts Payable import file upload into QuickBooks (Caregivers and Vendors Checks).

    Perform Set-up of new rapid! PayCard for Caregivers

    Perform monthly job profitability reconciliation reports.

    Post and reconcile monthly Credit Cards Statements (BOA, Chase and American Express etc.)

    Manage and perform monthly bank reconciliations on Bank Accounts.

    Manage Insurance Benefits, 401K and Retirement Plans

    Participate in financial standards setting and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures

    Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule

    Assist with financial audits, tax returns readiness, and internal and external audits to ensure compliance

    Perform month-end and year-end close process to ensure compliance with GAAP principles

    Develop business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

    Work with our CEO, COO and Program Director to improve financial procedures

    Perform any other accounting function that may be assigned by CEO, COO and Program Director

    Required Education, Skillsets and Qualifications:

    BS or MBA in Accounting with 5-10 years’ supervisory experience.

    A CMA Certification is a plus

    Must be an advanced user of QuickBooks Desktop 2023 to 2025

    Prior QuickBooks Desktop implementation experience including experience with data conversions and migrations in a corporate environment.

    Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel – be an advanced user.

    Able to work independently with little supervision.

    Salary and Benefits:

    • Salary is from $93,600 to $104,000
