    Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Parsippany, NJ. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accurate and timely financial management in compliance with accounting principles and standards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent knowledge of accounting regulations, and a passion for working in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

    Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.

    Oversee general ledger activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

    Prepare and analyze budgets and forecasts, providing insights to management.

    Assist in the preparation of tax filings and coordinate with external auditors for financial audits.

    Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for improving financial performance.

    Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards.

    Lead and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support.

    Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and consistent financial data.

    Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. CPA certification is highly preferred.

    5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.

    Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.

    Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.

    Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

    Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.

    Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and accountability.

    Certifications:

    CPA License preferred.

    Other relevant accounting certifications (CMA, CFA) are a plus.
