    IES Safety, LLC ("IES") is a leading provider of incident management, emergency response, medical, and rescue training services for the oil and gas, chemical, and high-hazard manufacturing industries.

    IES is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Accountant.

    Position Summary

    The Senior Accountant supports the organization’s financial health by performing advanced accounting tasks and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. This role is responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, maintaining the general ledger, managing the monthly and annual close processes, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations. The Senior Accountant also contributes to improving financial systems, supports internal controls, and provides insights to help inform operational and strategic decisions. This position works closely with finance leadership to support accurate and timely financial reporting across the organization.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    · Ensure complete, accurate, and timely invoicing for all company operations.

    · Manage and oversee the collection of Accounts Receivable to optimize cash flow.

    · Maintain and monitor internal control systems to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and to safeguard against fraud. Collaborate with executive leadership on compliance and audit readiness.

    · Oversee payroll processing and Accounts Payable to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation.

    · Prepare cash forecasts

    · Direct daily accounting operations and structure departmental resources to meet strategic and operational objectives.

    · Prepare and deliver timely and accurate financial statements and analyses for operations, executive management, the Board of Directors, and lenders.

    · Oversee accounting functions for subsidiaries and divisions, ensuring proper control frameworks and efficient transaction processing.

    · Identify improvements and lead the accounting staff with integrations, or transitions in financial systems (e.g., ERP implementations or upgrades).

    · Manage budgeting processes, track performance, conduct variance analysis, and provide regular reporting.

    · Analyze cost drivers and identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiencies.

    · Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements and tax filings.

    · Maintain and enforce company-wide financial policies, ensuring alignment with accounting standards and principles.

    · Provide financial analysis and support for large contract bids.

    Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

    · Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited university.

    · MBA, CPA, CMA is preferred (not required).

    · 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience in entrepreneurial business environments.

    · Strong leadership and proven supervisory skills

    · Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships

    · Demonstrated skills in mentoring, coaching, and organizational administration.

    · Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities

    · Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.

    · Proficiency in Sage Intacct for financial management and reporting.

    · Strong computer aptitude, including expertise with the Microsoft 365 platform (Excel and Word) and advanced skills in data analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI.

    · Experience leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) tools and data analytics to enhance financial reporting, forecasting, and operational efficiency.

    · Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
