    Senior Staff Accountant - Restaurant

    Layne’s Chicken Fingers has an exciting, full-time opportunity for a Senior Staff Accountant! We are a privately-owned restaurant operator and franchisor that is growing rapidly. If you are looking for a stable career with steady growth in a dynamic industry, this is the role for you.

    Job Summary:

    As a key member of our finance team, the Senior Staff Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of Layne’s Chicken. You’ll oversee financial reporting for our stores, support period-end and year-end close processes, and collaborate with other departments to strengthen the company’s financial stability. This position reports to the Controller and works closely with the Operations team.

    Responsibilities:

    Manage general ledger activities, financial reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations

    Lead the period-end and year-end closing activities for our stores

    Assist with franchise and G&A accounting tasks

    Prepare and analyze financial reports to identify variances and opportunities for improvement

    Partner with operations to ensure accurate reporting and resolve discrepancies

    Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives

    Assist with audits and ad hoc requests as needed

    Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and efficiency

    Adhere to company policies and procedures

    Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller or Operations team

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting

    5+ years of experience, preferably in a high volume, multi-unit, or full cycle restaurant accounting environment

    2+ years of senior accounting experience preferred

    Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

    Strong knowledge of GAAP and restaurant industry financial practices

    Ability to work independently while supporting accounting team members

    Intermediate Excel and other Microsoft product skills

    Experience with Restaurant 365 is a plus
