Senior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing technology company in Dallas, Texas. This role will be responsible for supporting the month-end close process, maintaining the general ledger, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and helping ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts and investigate variances.
Support preparation of internal financial reports for management.
Reconcile bank accounts, prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, fixed assets, and other key accounts.
Assist with revenue recognition, expense allocations, and intercompany transactions as applicable.
Partner with cross-functional teams including FP&A, operations, payroll, and accounts payable to resolve accounting issues.
Support external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor requests.
Help maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and scalability as the company grows.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
4+4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably including public accounting and/or industry experience within a technology company.
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and month-end close procedures.
Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to analyze financial data, identify issues, and recommend solutions.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred.
Experience in the technology or SaaS industry.
Familiarity with revenue recognition and subscription-based business models.
Experience with systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar ERP platforms.
Prior experience supporting audits and improving accounting processes.
