Senior Accountant - Private Community/Club - Base Salary to 60k/year - Pocono Lake, PA

• Our client, large private community/club located in the Pocono Mountains, is looking to bring on a full time Senior Accountant that will work directly with the CFO. This is a direct hire position that will work on site at the organization. Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee accounting controls, reconciliations, billing operations, and accounts receivable functions. This role ensures financial integrity, compliance, and timely reporting to support strategic decision making and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and financial reconciliations.
  
• Oversee general ledger management and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  
• Support audits by preparing documentation and liaising with external auditors.
  
• Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, and general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
  
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies and ensure alignment between sub-ledgers and the GL.
  
• Monitor key reconciliations such as prepaid expenses, accruals, inventory, and fixed assets.
  
• Supervise billing processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoices based on contracts and sales agreements.
  
• Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging, cash applications, and collections activities.
  
• Maintain customer account records and ensure compliance with credit policies and terms.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance
  
• 5+ years of experience in a multi-functional finance role
  
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
  
• Proficient in ERP systems

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 50k - 60k/year range
