Senior Accountant – Corporate Accounting & Family Office

Professional Search Group has partnered with a dynamic and well-established investment firm in Orange County to identify a talented Senior Accountant to support both corporate accounting and a high-net-worth family office. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats.
Position Overview
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting functions across multiple entities, including corporate entities, trusts, personal accounts, and property-related accounts. This individual must demonstrate a high level of integrity, organizational skill, and sound judgment while working in a close-knit, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and perform account analysis and reconciliations
- Maintain and reconcile general ledgers for corporate, property, and personal accounts
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for private companies, trusts, individuals, and credit funds
- Assist in the development and documentation of accounting policies and internal controls
- Support cash management, including cash forecasting, bill payment, wire transfers, and credit card reconciliation
- Coordinate with external auditors and assist with year-end audit preparation
- Support budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with the finance team
- Track tax-related documents and assist in the preparation and coordination of tax filings
- Maintain accurate records of notes, lines of credit, insurance policies, and authorizations
- Ensure timely resolution of accounting inquiries and maintain organized digital records
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Prior experience in real estate or family office accounting is a plus
- Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes
- Experience with Yardi or similar accounting platforms is preferred
