Senior Accountant — Pioneer Aero Supply Chicago, IL | 4 Days On-Site / 1 Day WFH
Help Build What Comes Next
Pioneer Aero Supply isn't a corporate accounting job. It's a ground-floor opportunity to help build the financial infrastructure of one of a fast-growing aviation aftermarket parts suppliers.
The founder started this company out of his apartment. Today, Pioneer does ~$50+M in revenue, holds ~$16M in inventory, and is scaling aggressively. The accounting function is being built in real time. This is not a role where you maintain someone else's system. You help design it, build it, improve it.
If you've done 3–4 busy seasons at a mid-tier firm and you're ready to pull the rip cord on public accounting this is the landing spot. If you thrive in growth stage companies this could be your next spot.
The Growth Path
The company is hitting its next phase of growth so for your career the ceiling is high and the timeline is yours to compress. You'll work side-by-side with the Controller as his right hand, with increasing ownership of close management, financial reporting, internal controls, and process improvement.
The Culture
Flat, founder-led, and intentionally human. The founder knows everyone by name. Weekly Monday breakfast, Thursday communal lunch, ping pong tournaments with the office and warehouse competing (and connecting!). A new gym is on the way in the building. This is a community, not a corporate environment.
What You're Walking Into
The month-end close is a work in progress and that's the point. The vision is to eventually spend the first third of the month closing, the second third curating the "so what?" story from the numbers, and the final third driving performance improvement. Getting there requires someone who values process-building over hitting an artificial deadline.
