A growing and well-established construction company based in Lakeland, FL is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their team. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and construction job cost reports

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements

• Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules

• Collaborate with project managers and field operations on budgeting and cost tracking

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies

• Support internal and external audits

• Identify process improvements and support implementation of accounting best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• 4+ years of relevant accounting experience (construction industry experience strongly preferred)

• Strong understanding of job cost accounting

• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (experience with Sage 300/Timberline is a plus)

• Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally

• Strong organizational and communication skills

Compensation:

• Base salary in the $70,000–$100,000 range, depending on experience
