About the Role
Jennie Joiner with The Forum Group PNW is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a growing finance and accounting team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional looking to take ownership of core financial processes and gain exposure to advanced operational and technical accounting in a dynamic, multi-location environment. You will work closely with the Controller and leadership team to ensure accuracy in financial reporting, drive process improvements, and help strengthen internal controls. This position is fully onsite in Albany, Oregon, offering flexibility in work hours and the opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to an expanding organization. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Maintain and review the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Coordinate audit preparation and respond to auditor requests
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiency initiatives
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff
- Partner with operations and other departments to ensure data accuracy and support decision-making
- Participate in special projects, including acquisition-related work and process documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting or corporate environment)
- Solid understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting, and financial reporting
- Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas)
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication abilities with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, learn quickly, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work fully onsite and collaborate with a close-knit team
Preferred Experience
- Background in manufacturing or complex, multi-entity environments
- Exposure to mergers, acquisitions, or multi-location accounting
- Public accounting (audit) experience

- Onsite, flexible hours (typically 40–45 hours per week)
