Senior Accountant – Logistics & Distribution (100% Remote – East Coast)

A rapidly growing, privately held logistics company with over $2 billion in revenue is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. This 100% remote role offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-performing and stable finance department that supports one of the largest last-mile delivery operations in the country.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage key components of the monthly and quarterly close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger and fixed asset schedules

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations with appropriate documentation

• Analyze monthly financial statements, identifying and explaining variances to budget or historical trends

• Support lease accounting, intercompany eliminations, and consolidation processes

• Assist with both internal and external audits by preparing schedules and addressing inquiries

• Collaborate with FP&A and business partners to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting

• Participate in ongoing process improvements and help enforce financial controls

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally with a mix of public and corporate experience

• Strong GAAP knowledge and technical accounting foundation

• Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion or similar ERP systems strongly preferred

• Exposure to lease accounting and fixed assets is a plus

• CPA or CPA-track preferred

• High attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
