Position Summary:

The position is accountable for the club accounting to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

Complete and manage transaction-processing operations

Maintain an organized and orderly filing system of all accounting and corporate documents

Maintain a comprehensive system of accounting records

Monitor budgets and variance reporting

Generate financial reports daily, monthly, quarterly, yearly, and interim as required

Ensure the accuracy of the organization’s financial records

Ensure that financial reports comply with GAAP

Publish complete and timely financial statements to company executives, shareholders, and the Board

Account for any budget variances and report significant discrepancies to management

Prepare local, state, and federal tax filings and reporting requirements

Process, calculate, and schedule payments for accounts payable promptly

Complete bank reconciliations monthly

Review franchisor/franchisee royalty calculations and reports – monthly and year-end

Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

File local, state, federal, or fitness related licenses as needed or required by law

Requirements:

Thorough knowledge of accounting

Excellent mathematical skills

Superior verbal and written communication skills

Ability to communicate financial detail to operations personnel

High attention to detail

Advanced Excel and QuickBooks knowledge and skill

Desire to learn and elevate personal skill assets
