Senior Accountant for an Innovative Electric Vehicle Charging Company
Our client is redefining the EV charging experience by providing cutting-edge solutions for forward-thinking enterprises. Combining hardware and software expertise with a deep understanding of Enterprise SaaS, they offer an end-to-end EV charging platform tailored to meet the needs of diverse businesses. As they expand their presence and impact, they’re looking for an entrepreneurially-minded Senior Accountant to join their growing team. Working closely with the Controller and VP of Finance, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, support the month-end close process, and drive overall excellence across the accounting ecosystem.
This is primarily an in-person role in West Los Angeles with the opportunity to work from home one day per week.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the VP of Finance and Controller on monthly, quarterly, and annual year-end close processes, ensuring financial reporting is timely and accurate
- Prep and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements, ensuring all are in accordance with GAAP
- Ensure accurate financial data insights and reporting by working cross-functionally with operations, sales, and HR departments
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including AP/AR, revenue recognition, and fixed assets
- Help with the preparation of financial analyses and management reporting packages for the leadership team
- Support the maintenance and optimization of the company’s ERP system (NetSuite)
- Alongside the Controller, create and implement strategic process improvements that serve to strengthen internal controls
- Work closely with third-party auditors and consultants on external audits, compliance reporting, and tax filing
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field; required
- CPA license or progress toward CPA licensure, a plus
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 in a high-growth startup or similar environment
- Excellent knowledge of GAAP requirements and financial reporting procedures
- Knowledge and expertise with NetSuite, required
- Best-in-class Excel skills, comfortable working with large data sets
- Ability to wear multiple hats and maintain priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation: Targeting a base salary of $80-$90k, DOE
