    Senior Accounting Coordinator

    We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Coordinator to join the Finance Department. In this multifaceted, full-time role, you will be responsible for streamlining complex accounting, tax, and compliance functions across multiple entities. You will act as a central pillar for financial operations, managing high-volume tasks ranging from PP&E reconciliations to intricate sales tax analysis.

    This is an ideal position for a proactive professional who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and enjoys a blend of high-level financial reporting and essential administrative oversight.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee and reconcile monthly Property, Plant & Equipment (PP&E) schedules for all business units.

    • Manage the end-to-end customer rebate process, including month-end analysis, direct communication, and payment approvals.

    • Coordinate high-volume freight invoice coding and transaction entry to ensure accurate ledger placement.

    • Audit and process corporate credit card activity, verifying documentation and proper department coding.

    • Execute monthly sales and property tax analyses to ensure multi-state compliance and timely filings.

    • Maintain accurate franchise tax data within QuickBooks to facilitate seamless external reporting.

    • Facilitate insurance compliance by coordinating Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and reviewing customer contract requirements.

    • Maintain rigorous document control for corporate files and provide operational support, including payment confirmations and occasional backup reception coverage.

    • Execute credit analysis for new vendors and customers while supporting collections efforts as necessary.

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a multi-entity or corporate environment.

    • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Associate or Bachelor’s preferred).

    • Demonstrated proficiency in QuickBooks or comparable mid-market ERP systems.

    • Deep functional knowledge of sales tax, property tax, and general ledger reconciliation.

    • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to pivot between complex analytical projects and administrative tasks.

    • Strong communication skills for interacting with internal stakeholders and external insurance or tax partners.

    • Capacity to handle high-pressure deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
