    Objectives of this role

    Lead GUNTHERS accounting operations by overseeing financial statements preparation, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance

    Manage and direct other accounting staff while ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements

    Strengthen financial controls and reporting accuracy through comprehensive review of ledger entries and reconciliations

    Optimize accounting processes by coordinating accounting activities, software, and processes and identifying areas for operational improvement

    Exercise leadership in financial reporting integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with national and local financial requirements

    Support upper management with strategic financial analysis and reporting

    Senior Accounting Manager Responsibilities

    Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with accuracy and timeliness

    Oversee preparation and review of appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations across all accounts

    Maintain and manage the general ledger system to ensure data integrity and proper account classification

    Research complex accounting issues to ensure full compliance with GAAP standards

    Coordinate and manage monthly and annual financial reviews, working with department heads and senior management

    Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate accounting staff performance and development

    Assist with regulatory reporting and ensure timely submission of required financial documents

    Lead accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processes oversight

    Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for audit procedures

    Manage fixed asset schedules and support capital expense planning

    Prepare financials and other supporting documentation for external tax preparation

    Additional leadership responsibilities as required from upper management

    Senior Accounting Manager Required skills and qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required

    8+ years of progressive accounting experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities

    CPA certification strongly preferred

    Extensive knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance

    Strong leadership and staff management experience

    Advanced proficiency with accounting software, general ledger systems, and Microsoft Office suite

    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

    Strong communication skills for interaction with staff, management, and external parties

    Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines

    High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information
