    PLS Claims is an independent adjusting company headquartered in the Atlanta area. PLS Claims represents numerous clients, including insurance companies, Syndicates at Lloyds, self-insureds and third-party administrators.

    We are looking for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys a diverse range of responsibilities and wants to become an integral part of a growing small business

    In this highly visible and newly created role, you'll oversee day-to-day accounting operations while managing payroll, employee and HR administration tasks, and business compliance activities. Working closely with the Vice President/Controller, you'll help ensure our financial operations run smoothly while identifying opportunities to improve processes and support future growth.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Accounting:

    AP/AR, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end support, financial reporting, and budget assistance

    Support the VP/Controller with special projects and financial reporting in addition to managing the recurring day-to-day accounting responsibilities for the business

    Payroll and Human Resources/Employee Administration:

    Payroll processing, benefits, PTO support, maintaining employee records, workers comp, unemployment, and HR tasks

    Play an integral part in onboarding and helping existing employees with questions as needed to continue building a great employee experience and maintain a strong team culture

    Business Operations and Compliance:

    Corporate licensing, insurance certificates, vendor documentation, compliance calendars, internal controls, process improvement, assist with employee training programs

    Help us identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and accuracy of internal procedures

    Required Qualifications

    4+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience

    Experience processing payroll

    Experience with QuickBooks (or similar accounting software)

    Strong Excel skills

    Excellent organizational and communication skills

    Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

    Compensation and Benefits:

    Annual salary of $65,000–$75,000, based on experience and qualifications
