    Senior Analyst, Payroll Governance

    Overview
    We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Analyst to join our Payroll Governance team. This individual contributor role is responsible for driving continuous process improvement, strengthening data driven insights, and enhancing the overall efficiency, and scalability of global payroll operations.
    The ideal candidate is passionate about improving processes, reducing risk and increasing automation. They will partner closely with regional payroll leads and cross functional stakeholders to strengthen operational performance and deliver a best in class payroll experience.

    Role
    1. Continuous Process Improvement
    • Assist with management of the global payroll project pipeline in partnership with regional payroll leads.
    • Participate in improvement initiatives that reduce manual work, enhance accuracy, and strengthen payroll overall.
    • Partner with regional payroll teams to implement optimized workflows, updated procedures, and scalable best practices.
    • Support change management activities including documentation updates, training, and rollout planning.
    • Serve as subject matter expert (SME) and project manager for the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), supporting implementations, updates, and ongoing process improvements.

    2. Data Governance & Reporting Insights
    • Partner with cross functional and regional payroll teams to support data needs, validation, and insights.
    • Develop, enhance, and maintain dashboards and analytical reporting to provide actionable insights into payroll performance.
    • Track and report on key operational metrics such as processing timelines, case volumes, capacity utilization, and error trends.
    • Conduct proactive data monitoring-especially on tax impacting fields-to identify anomalies, risks, and opportunities for corrective action.

    3. Documentation & Standardization
    • Create and maintain detailed process documentation, SOPs, templates, and checklists.
    • Support global standardization of processes to drive consistency and reduce variation across countries.
    • Create and update response templates, communication guides, and knowledge base content to ensure consistent global execution.
    • Support global alignment and standardization of payroll processes and workflows.

    4. Case Management Governance & Quality
    • Oversee global case management processes to ensure quality, timeliness, and consistency in employee and stakeholder support.
    • Monitor case trends to identify upstream process improvements and training opportunities.
    • Establish and enforce global case handling standards and service expectations.

    All About You
    • Bachelor's degree, preferred, in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Experience in payroll operations, quality assurance, process improvement, or payroll governance in a multinational environment.
    • Proven experience driving process improvements, standardizing workflows, or enhancing operational quality.
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with advanced Excel and reporting capabilities.
    • Experience with process documentation, SOP creation, or workflow design.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence without authority and collaborate across functions and regions.
    • Highly organized and detail oriented with a passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement.

    In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.     Pay Ranges
    O'Fallon, Missouri: $85,000 - $132,000 USD
