Senior Associate - Complex Commercial Litigation

Full-time, Hybrid

Location: New York, NY or Norfolk, VA

Salary: $300K - $375K

What we're looking for:

We are seeking a seasoned litigator with 5-8 years of experience in complex commercial litigation, specifically with a background in financial services disputes. You should be comfortable managing cases day-to-day, have a strong desire for courtroom experience, and possess a track record of handling sophisticated legal matters for high-caliber clients. Bonus points if you have experience at an AmLaw 50 firm and a federal clerkship.

What you'll do:

• Manage the trial record and all case logistics from end-to-end on billion-dollar disputes.

• Take ownership of case strategy below the partner level, supervising junior associates, paralegals, and legal analysts.

• Work closely with partners and clients, attending all client meetings and serving as a primary point of contact.

• Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and serve as second chair at trial, examining witnesses.

• Lead communication with co-counsel, navigating complex relationships with professionalism and poise.

• Develop and execute a practice development plan with the goal of building your own book of business and making partner.

5 -8 years of experience post JD with litigation experience
