Responsibilities: • Prepare for and attend trials, mediation, and arbitration hearings • Supervise and mentor lower level attorneys in proper conflict resolution techniques • Prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests/responses • Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions • Attend court hearings on behalf of clients and argue motions • Assist with the discovery process by conducting depositions, issuing interrogatories and requests for the production of documents, and reviewing discovery requests, responses, and responsive discovery materials. • Manage a litigation-forward family law caseload from early case strategy through resolution. • Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery; analyze evidence and prepare litigation plans. • Prepare for and appear at hearings, temporary hearings, mediations, and trials. • Take and defend depositions; manage discovery disputes and motion practice. • Advise clients on legal strategy, likely outcomes, and next steps with clear, timely communication. • Collaborate with the firm’s intake and operations team to maintain strong case momentum. • Maintain accurate timekeeping and documentation in the firm’s case management system. • Negotiate client-focused resolutions and settlements. Qualifications: • Four-year bachelor’s degree and successful completion of law school from an accredited law school • Work independently while handling a heavy caseload • 5 years of required experience as a senior associate in the legal field • Member of state and local bar associations in good standing • Previous experience advocating for clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia. • 1–5 years of litigation experience , with meaningful exposure to family law. • Demonstrated courtroom experience (hearings, contested matters, motion practice). • Strong writing and legal analysis skills (motions, briefs, discovery). • High client-service standards: responsive, professional, emotionally intelligent. • Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work a case plan. Compensation: $110,000 - $115,000
