Senior Building Automation Programmer

We’re seeking a Senior Building Automation Programmer to join a growing Siemens integrator and support BAS projects from design handoff through commissioning and turnover. This is a programming- and engineering-focused role, responsible for system architecture, controller programming, integration, commissioning, and customer support. The position offers visibility, autonomy, and a path toward technical leadership.
What You’ll Do:
- Program, test, and commission Siemens DDC building automation systems.
- Develop and implement control sequences, graphics, alarms, and trend strategies.
- Integrate BAS systems with VFDs, meters, third-party devices, and networks (BACnet/IP, MS/TP, Modbus).
- Partner with Project Managers, electricians, and commissioning agents to deliver projects on time and to specification.
- Support system validation, functional testing, and owner training.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and as-built records.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior BAS programmers and technicians.
- Support troubleshooting and optimization of existing customer systems.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of BAS programming experience in commercial or industrial environments.
- Siemens BAS programming experience (Desigo, Apogee, or similar).
- Tridium Niagara (N4) experience or certification strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, control theory, and energy optimization.
- Experience with VFDs, control networks, and system integration.
- Proficient with laptops and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and across teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
