Senior Business Development Manager – Facility Services (Bay Area, CA)
Compensation: Base Salary: $100K–$130K + commission, $800 car allowance & toll coverage
Location: Hybrid Role- Redwood City, CA
Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager (SBDM) to drive new business growth across the Bay Area, with a strong focus on Redwood City and surrounding regions. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record in facility services sales, commercial real estate partnerships, and closing multimillion-dollar deals. The SBDM will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and proposal development to contract negotiation and closing, while building a strong pipeline of long-term business opportunities.
This is a high-impact role that offers autonomy, visibility, and the opportunity to deliver measurable results in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to secure new business in facility maintenance and janitorial services.
- Prospect and generate leads through cold calls, networking, and industry associations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial real estate firms, property management companies, and corporate clients.
- Create, price, and present detailed, compelling sales proposals tailored to client needs.
- Close large-scale service contracts (including multimillion-dollar agreements) and meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Represent the company at industry events such as BOMA, IFMA, IREM, and CREW to expand visibility and strengthen connections.
- Collaborate with operations and leadership to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of service sales experience (janitorial/facility maintenance strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, qualify, and close new business independently.
- Track record of closing multimillion-dollar deals.
- Strong proposal development and presentation skills.
- Established network of contacts within the Bay Area commercial real estate and property management community.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of facility services, janitorial services, commercial real estate, or property management.
- Experience in pricing labor and structuring competitive proposals.
- Active participation in BOMA, IFMA, IREM, or CREW is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Bay Area market geography (Redwood City, San Jose, Mountain View, Sunnyvale).
