Responsibilities: • Keep apprised of changes to local, state, and federal statutes and laws • Prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests/responses • Counsel associates to resolve or prevent conflicts • Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions • Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings Qualifications: • Persuasive writing skills and verbal communication skills are critical, along with time management and interpersonal skills • Prior experience representing clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration • Bachelor’s degree with a law degree from an accredited law school (such as an LLM, JSD, or J.D. degree) • Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision • 7 - 10 years of experience as a litigation attorney for business, construction, or real estate litigation • At least 10 jury trials as first chair or leading attorney Compensation: $185,000 yearly
