    We are an entrepreneurial Senior focused Estate Planning Firm that is on track for aggressive growth and we need a newly California licensed Associate with one to two years of experience to join our team and work directly with the Owner and other attorneys to support the team and help our clients. We want to be known for helping our clients plan for the unexpected and make sure their final wishes are honored. We are growing fast, and we need an Associate who has a passion for working with seniors and is willing to learn. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE AD PRIOR TO SUBMITTING YOUR RESUME. Responsibilities: • You will shadow both the Owner and other Attorneys for at least three months to learn the responsibilities of the job and then be expected to manage your own cases. One of your main responsibilities will be to appear in court for our probate cases, conservatorships, and other court hearings. If your ultimate goal is to be a trial attorney, this position is not for you • You will be expected to learn and know the law, prepare your own documents to go to court and work well with court staff • You need to demonstrate that you project confidence and competence when dealing with clients and people on behalf of our clients Specifically, you must be able to learn: • Explain and discuss Medi-Cal Long-Term Care, answer questions, and determine Medi-Cal eligibility • Do a comprehensive review of assets, determine how to best protect them, and how Medi-Cal could assist in these efforts • Supervise the work of the Paralegal and Trust Compliance Manager to ensure proper legal documents are prepared, executed, and filed, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, deeds, contracts, court documents and more • Ensure accurate and timely filings • Attend Court Hearings  Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be required to travel to court and visit our clients in their homes, senior care communities and hospitals. If you see a case file as an opportunity to help someone protect their hard-earned assets and the future of their family, you’ll like the way we think.Skills and experience are important and valued, However, your personality, character, intelligence, and integrity are also extremely important considerations, so we are willing to teach some of the finer points. If this exciting opportunity appeals to you, we look forward to reviewing your resume.
