    Job Summary

    The Senior Commercial Electric Technician installs, maintains, and repairs complex electrical systems in commercial buildings, often acting as a lead worker who trains junior staff, interprets blueprints, troubleshoots high/low voltage issues, ensures code compliance (NEC), and manages project workflows for optimal performance and safety, focusing on advanced diagnostics and system upgrades

    Responsibilities

    Supervising the installation of commercial solar PV systems, EVSE infrastructure, energy storage systems, and data collection systems.

    Providing installation oversight of both Renu Field Operations installation teams as well as any subcontractors

    Reviewing project plans and drawings for upcoming installations and installing in accordance with project specifications and professional engineer stamped and permitted plansets; communicating any changes/updates immediately to the Commercial Operations Department

    Assisting with the estimation of project materials and generation of bill of materials for each assigned project; including working with Purchasing Department for the submittal of purchase requests and specialty equipment needs

    Coordinating with Commercial Array installation teams and Commercial Operations Department to provide an excellent customer experience and a quality installation

    Maintaining high levels of quality and efficiency; completing projects in a professional and workmanlike manner with a determination to meet project timelines

    Maintaining high standards of jobsite organization, maintaining clean and efficient workspaces, work vehicles/trailers, and maintaining provided tools/equipment and safety gear

    Working with Warehouse Manager on purchase requests, pick/return tickets, and job pack needs/requirements

    Assisting with the project “take-off” process, ensuring job packs are correct, complete, and loaded/secured properly

    Attending electrical scope of work site walks and preconstruction meetings, as required

    Attending post installation inspections, quality control checks, and commissioning site visits, as required

    Commissioning of Commercial solar PV and data collection systems; completing project closeout/commissioning checklists, as required

    Ensuring a safe work environment, and strict adherence to OSHA rules/regulations and Renu safety protocol

    Contributing to the project documentation process, to include daily updates/photo uploads to Renu project management programs when assigned

    Assisting with other Renu Commercial, Renu Residential, and SunService Specialists tasks, as required, that support the growth of the Company

    Qualifications

    A minimum of 2 years of experience as a commercial electrician

    Knowledge of local and national electrical codes and regulations.

    Experience with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting

    Ability to read schematics and manage projects
