    Job Description

    CereCore is looking to hire a Senior Communications Specialist to join the HCA Healthcare Expanse Change Management and Communications Team.

    As a member of this team, the Senior Communications Specialist will support communication for targeted facilities undergoing implementation of a modern electronic health record (EHR) platform and drive alignment to Digital Transformation & Innovation initiatives.

    This position will work collaboratively across multiple HCA Healthcare organizations to communicate to diverse audience of corporate and field-based stakeholders.

    Responsibilities

    • Independently lead execution of the creation of communication plans and packages that supports DT&I implementation and change management initiatives from conception to implementation
    • Create and/or consult on communications materials for internal stakeholders in support of DT&I initiatives at HCA Healthcare facilities
    • Coordinate with facility communications leads to ensure local communications are activated
    • Display excellent writing, editing and organizational skills to support implementation communications
    • Proofread communications materials for consistency, adherence to style/messaging guide, and factual accuracy
    • Create or oversee development of visual design elements to communications projects as needed
    • Align with Change Management colleagues to understand implications of facility-focused change activities that may require adjusted messaging, cadence and media vehicles as necessary
    • Collaborate with other departments on communications materials to ensure content and messages are consistent with the organization’s writing style, voice and tone
    • Support DT&I’s innovation initiatives at HCA Healthcare hospitals and further organizational goals as needed
    • Performs other duties as directed by supervisor in support or the organization’s goals and objectives

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of 6 years' experience with a preferred 8 years’ experience in communications
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to take creative direction and constructive feedback
    • Self-motivated and deadline-oriented to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
    • Experience working from a brand style guide; ability to adapt tone and voice to adjust to various audiences and messages
    • Understanding of how communications tactics contribute to brand strategy
    • Experience in change management or communicating through major organizational change.
    • Navigate a highly matrixed environment and collaborate with various stakeholders
    • Proficient in AP style and Microsoft Office products
    • Work independently or as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to adapt writing style for different media, including print, digital, event scripting, and video
    • Background and prior experience with a healthcare-related field is strongly preferred; familiarity with clinical content, medical terminology, medical conditions and service lines
    • Experience in visual storytelling mediums preferred (Adobe Creative Suite, etc)
    • Demonstrated ability to extract nuanced information from subject matter experts and articulate complex concepts in clear language

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related relevant field
