**This position requires an ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE and Automation skills/experience - Ansible, YAML, Python, and Linux
We are searching for a Senior Network Configuration/Performance Analyst on an effort supporting our Federal Government Client in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will provide technical engineering support for our large federal government agency’s highly complex network infrastructure environment to include multiple enclaves comprising various classification levels.
The ideal candidate will provide oversight of technical activities performed by the team’s personnel and provide them with necessary guidance, as well as serve as an escalation point to other personnel and to provide technical expertise and advice to the government in the area of network configurations and compliance.
Core Responsibilities- Act as a senior subject matter expert in the areas of monitoring and analyzing enterprise networks.
- Provide expert technical guidance and support to the Government, Project Lead, and other Network Analyst in support of monitoring and managing the customer networks.
- Review the work of the other CLIN contractor personnel based on government standards and industry best practice and provide feedback and recommendations through the Project Lead
- Maintain awareness of trends and best practices related to networks, technology and IT-related topics and provide recommendations to the Project Lead and Government on possible improvements or changes to customer systems and processes.
- Provide high-quality and professional customer service in all interactions.
- Use the Enterprise Network Monitoring Platform to analyze and provide data and documentation related to the network performance of any or all network components.
Requirements- Active Top Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain SCI
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience designing, developing, and implementing network solutions
- Working knowledge of web applications, web servers, application load balancers and storage systems.
- Must have good knowledge of general security tools and methodologies such as firewalls, Intrusion Detection Sensor (IDS)/Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) and access control lists.
- Advanced skill in scripting / coding (python, go, Perl, Bash, etc.) in order to support network automation tasks
- Experience providing senior-level engineering support
- Large enterprise environment experience
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Additional Skills and Qualifications- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Higher Cisco Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in technology related field
- Experience in network engineering within the federal intelligence community
- Ability to adhere to a disciplined troubleshooting methodology, and ensure task/mission completion, along with creating and maintaining necessary information.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with attention to detail.
