Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to grow and manage a portfolio of construction casualty business through sound underwriting practices and strong broker relationships. Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze accounts in accordance with company underwriting guidelines
• Develop pricing strategies and coverage structures; make underwriting recommendations
• Prepare quotes, binders, invoices, and underwriting documentation
• Maintain organized underwriting files
• Supervise Account Coordinators as needed
• Participate in client meetings, marketing events, and production meetings
• Collaborate with Legal on manuscript wording
• Attend educational seminars to stay current on industry trends

Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of construction casualty underwriting experience
• Excellent network of wholesale and retail brokers in the greater NYC area
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Able to thrive independently in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• CPCU designation or progress toward one preferred
