    ABOUT THE TEAM

    MONITOR Product Team is looking to hire a Senior Consultant for our DEI syndicated practice, with expertise and/or background in consumer insights about Black Americans, Hispanics, Asian Americans, LGBTQ+, and People with Disabilities.

    Kantar’s MONITOR offer is our subscription-based strategic insights and foresights platform that explores new sources of business growth and opportunity. MONITOR provides an effective means to track key marketplace dynamics and critical consumer attitudinal and value shifts that are reshaping the business environment. Consultants integrate a variety of sources - including survey data, qualitative cultural insight and secondary sources to arrive at significant business insights and actions.

    In the area of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, we seek to better understand key growth demographics in the U.S. such as Black Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanics, LGBTQ+ and People with Disabilities and how businesses can better serve them and generate growth. We focus on human insights, looking at what drives people in a variety of areas and roles (not just as consumers, but also as workers, audiences, within their family, and more).

    ROLE DESCRIPTION

    The role will primarily contribute to the conceptual development and writing of key reports and assets about the DEI consumer marketplace for MONITOR clients.

    The individual will also be expected to support consulting teams on ad hoc projects for clients that have a significant DEI component.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

    • Act as the primary content developer of all DEI Insights-oriented deliverables by writing and creating narratives by analyzing data, conducting secondary research, to identify key DEI insights with a focus on culture & trends

    • Managing and updating project timelines for all DEI U.S. MONITOR resources

    • Interfacing directly with the production teams to resource and lead all aspects of design, proofing and distribution of deliverables

    • Supporting account management and consulting teams in using DEI resources with their clients

    • Presenting DEI insights to senior-level client teams, both in person and via webinar

    • Support the Vice President of DEI on sales and marketing efforts, including participating in sales calls and capability presentations, helping to unearth insights through powerful storytelling and presentations

    • Work closely with the research team to continue to evolve research practices for further inclusion, this is in terms of methodology, sampling, and survey development (demographic questions, language, scales, etc.)

    ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

    • EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of relevant experience, e.g. consultancy/agency experience relating to multicultural consumer trends, diversity and inclusion, brands or market research. Experience actually handling large consulting or consumer insights projects strongly preferred.

    • SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTISE: Recognized expertise working with all three or any major ethnic groups (Hispanics, Black Americans, and Asian Americans); experience specifically with Black Americans and/or Hispanics is strongly preferred

    • ANALYTICAL EXPERTISE: Ability to analyze primary and secondary quantitative and qualitative data across many different cultures, identifying trends and patterns that gather valuable insights. Understands statistical output and basic research-related issues. Creative conceptual problem solver. Sensitive and responsive to cultural differences among people.

    • EXCELLENT WRITING, PRESENTING AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Proven writing ability, both in presentation slide and white paper formats (having previously published articles, reports, or thought pieces a plus). Experience with writing, editing and delivering major presentations and reports. Capable of presenting ideas in a clear and compelling manner to a lay audience.

    • CONSULTATIVE ATTITUDE: Understands marketing, innovation and strategic planning issues from a client perspective. Can take basic ideas and concepts and turn them into recommendations and action steps that clients can actually use.

    • COMMERCIAL FOCUS: Comfortable engaging in business development activities. Able to identify central client need and articulate product benefits in those terms. Proposes ideas to build pipeline, increase product usage among clients, or expand product reach to untapped market.

    • EXCELLENT PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS: Capable of staying on top of a complex multinational study with many moving parts, multiple results and important deadlines. Creative problem solver who proactively suggests solutions when issues arise.

    • COLLABORATIVE APPROACH: Works well in cross-functional teams. Able to recognize and encourage the best thinking in others. Able to listen to different perspectives to enrich the work.

    • High level user of FULL MICROSOFT SUITE of products, especially PowerPoint.

    The salary range for this role in Illinois is 85,000.00 - 141,600.00 USD Annual. Your final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
