Our client is looking for a Senior Control Engineer to take the lead in shaping automation across multiple North American manufacturing sites. In this role, you’ll drive innovation, manage large-scale capital projects, and ensure reliable, efficient, and safe operations through world-class control systems. This is a high-visibility leadership position with opportunities to make a measurable impact on plant performance and digital transformation initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
 - 10+ years of experience in automation and process control.
 - Hands-on expertise with DeltaV systems (batch and PSM experience a plus).
 - Strong leadership, project management, and vendor negotiation skills.
 
What You’ll Do
- Lead automation strategy to support business growth and operational excellence.
 - Set and maintain standards for control systems, instrumentation, architecture, and cybersecurity.
 - Evaluate and implement emerging technologies such as advanced process control, AI, and machine learning.
 - Oversee system design, programming, testing, and commissioning for major projects.
 - Guide automation capital planning and execution for projects ranging from $25k to $2M+.
 - Manage system lifecycle planning, upgrades, and vendor partnerships.
 - Leverage data historians (PI System) and business intelligence tools to deliver actionable insights.
 - Champion safety-first design principles and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
 - Lead initiatives to strengthen OT cybersecurity and system reliability.
