    Full-time | Remote | $140K - $190K + Cash Bonus

    We are a fast-growing, pre-Series A fintech company that partners with banks to originate consumer installment loans. We combine technology, strong compliance, and thoughtful product design to deliver responsible lending solutions nationwide.

    We're looking for an experienced Senior Counsel – Capital Markets to support our loan purchase/sale activities and broader corporate needs as we scale.

    What You'll Do

    • Support capital markets transactions, including:
      • Forward flow + loan purchase and sale agreements
      • Warehouse / other financing arrangements
      • Related deal & diligence documentation
    • Partner with internal teams (Capital Markets, Finance, Operations, Risk, Compliance) to close transactions efficiently and responsibly
    • Advise on investor due diligence, asset reps & warranties, and servicing requirements
    • Support equity fundraising activities (e.g., Series A+) — document negotiation + investor diligence
    • Provide general corporate legal support, including governance, commercial contracts, and cross-functional projects
    • Help maintain loan program compliance under the partner-bank model (origination, servicing, sale)
    • Assist with templates, playbooks, and process improvements

    What We're Looking For

    • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
    • Admitted to practice in at least one U.S. state
    • 4–7 years' experience at a law firm and/or in-house
    • Experience with capital markets / structured finance transactions involving consumer or small-business credit assets
    • Experience with fundraising transactions (Series A or later) preferred
    • Familiarity with consumer lending regulatory frameworks (Reg Z, ECOA, FCRA, partner-bank model) is helpful
    • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Comfortable operating in an early-stage, fast-paced environment
