Our firm is seeking an experienced Senior Criminal Trial Attorney to join our team and lead high-stakes criminal defense litigation. In this role, you will take ownership of complex felony and misdemeanor cases, develop defense strategies, and advocate for clients through all stages of the criminal trial process. You will also provide guidance and mentorship to junior attorneys, contributing to the continued growth and strength of our criminal defense practice. Responsibilities: • Represent clients in all stages of criminal proceedings, including arraignments, pre-trial hearings, negotiations, motions, and trial • Develop comprehensive defense strategies tailored to each client’s unique case • Draft and review legal documents such as motions to suppress, briefs, plea agreements, discovery requests, and trial memoranda • Conduct legal research to support case preparation and courtroom strategy • Argue motions and conduct direct and cross-examinations during trial • Oversee case files to ensure accurate, timely documentation and compliance with procedures • Mentor and support associate attorneys and paralegals working on criminal defense matters • Maintain thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal criminal law and procedural rules Qualifications: • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school • Active member in good standing with the relevant state bar • Minimum 5 years of experience in criminal defense litigation, including jury trial experience • Proven ability to manage a heavy criminal caseload with minimal supervision • Strong courtroom presence and persuasive advocacy skills • Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and interpersonal communication abilities • Commitment to ethical representation and protecting clients’ constitutional rights • Bilingual a plus (especially Spanish) Compensation: $160,000 - $190,000 DOE + bonus potential
