Senior Designer
Brooklyn Park, MN | $35.00–$40.00/hr | Direct Hire

Konik is partnering with a growing engineering-focused organization seeking to add a Senior Designer to support project execution and equipment design efforts. This role will work closely with engineering and project teams to develop detailed drawings and documentation for custom systems and equipment used in industrial process environments.

This is a strong opportunity for a designer who enjoys translating concepts into build-ready documentation, working cross-functionally, and contributing to both project delivery and product development in a collaborative setting.

Designer Responsibilities

• Develop detailed engineering drawings and layouts based on project requirements, including process and equipment designs
• Create Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to support system design and project execution
• Produce general arrangement drawings to communicate layout, functionality, and key system components
• Generate fabrication, installation, and assembly drawings for internal teams and external partners
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to interpret customer requirements and ensure accurate design representation
• Review project specifications, proposals, and technical documentation to support design development
• Support standardization efforts and assist in developing new product offerings
• Assist with supplier qualification and ensure design alignment with manufacturing requirements

Qualifications

• 5+ years of design experience within industrial equipment, process systems, or similar environments
• Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (3+ years preferred)
• Experience developing P&IDs and equipment/layout drawings
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
