Senior Director, FP&A — Public Manufacturer | Nashville, TN

A publicly traded manufacturing company is hiring a Senior Director, FP&A to report directly to the CFO. This is a high-visibility role shaping how the company plans, forecasts, and communicates performance to executives and the Board.

You’ll own enterprise FP&A end-to-end — from process and tools to how insights drive business decisions. Ideal for a strategic finance leader who thrives in transformation, enjoys cross-functional influence, and wants impact in a smaller public company where your work is seen.

    Why This Role Stands Out

    • Direct line of sight to the CFO and Board — genuine strategic influence, not layers of approval.
    • Full ownership of FP&A — you’ll design and implement, not inherit.
    • Cross-functional exposure — work with Sales, Ops, and Supply Chain leaders who actually use the insights you produce.
    • Visibility + career currency — builds executive-level credibility for your next step (VP or CFO track).
    • Transformation and autonomy — the company is modernizing; there’s room to build, automate, and drive change.

    What You’ll Own

    • Lead enterprise forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning with accuracy and discipline.
    • Partner across operations, sales, and supply chain to translate financial data into business action.
    • Drive how results are communicated — turning complex analysis into clear, Board-ready narratives.
    • Build scalable models, processes, and governance to strengthen forecasting discipline and accountability.
    • Lead and mentor a lean, high-performing FP&A team through ongoing growth and modernization.

    What You Bring

    • 15+ years of progressive FP&A or strategic finance experience, ideally within manufacturing or multi-site operations.
    • Strength in enterprise modeling, scenario planning, and financial storytelling.
    • Hands-on builder with the judgment to know when to dive in and when to delegate.
    • Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or Economics required; MBA, CPA, CFA, or FPAC certification strongly preferred.

This Role Is Right If You:

    • Thrive in transformation — you like to rebuild, automate, and modernize FP&A processes.
    • Are equally comfortable in the plant and the Boardroom.
    • Have executive presence without ego — you lead with insight, not flash.
    • Want to make visible impact in a mid-sized public company with resources to grow and change.

    Compensation:

    • $190,000 - 205k,000 + Bonus 25%

    • Equity potential depending on profile - 15%-25%
