What You’ll Do:
We are looking for an energetic and people-focused Senior Director of Human Resources to shape the future of our employee experience and help take our growing professional services firm to the next level. In this role, you will partner with senior leadership to develop and implement HR initiatives to support business objectives, foster a positive and inclusive work culture, and attract, retain, and develop top talent. This role requires a hands-on leader with the ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day HR operations in a fast-paced environment.
You will oversee all aspects of human resources management, including recruiting, talent management and retention, employee training and development, benefits, performance management, and organizational culture and engagement. Responsibilities and tasking include:
- Developing and executing HR strategies aligned with the firm's mission, vision, and long-term goals.
- Leading and mentoring the HR team, encouraging continual professional development and growth.
- Overseeing the recruitment, interviewing and hiring processes.
- Managing compensation structures, benefits programs, and total rewards strategies to ensure competitiveness and equity.
- Overseeing HR systems, data integrity, and reporting to support data-driven decision-making.
- Sharing actionable insights with the executive team to inform strategy and drive accountability.
- Managing relationships with third party HR vendors including payroll, medical insurance, 401(k), and other employee benefit services.
- Leading the performance management process to include both formal and informal feedback and recognition.
- Driving the learning and development initiatives to build leadership capabilities and career growth opportunities.
- Managing the new hire onboarding program and orientation to ensure a smooth transition and positive experience for new hires.
- Designing and implementing employee engagement and retention strategies, including surveys, recognition programs, and internal communications.
- Staying current with HR trends, best practices and federal, state and local employment laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
- Serving as a trustworthy leader to employees, guiding them through employee relations issues, and facilitating difficult conversations and conflict resolution.
- Developing, implementing and updating HR policies, procedures and employee handbooks on a regular basis.
- Contributing to organizational design, M&A integration, and change management as the firm grows.
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
Knowledge & Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within a professional services or consulting environment.
- Extensive knowledge of HR best practices, employment law and organizational development.
- Demonstrated knowledge in Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Benefits and Leave Administration, Compensation and Total Rewards, Training and Development and Employee Engagement best practices.
- Background in scaling HR functions to meet increasing compliance and business demands preferred.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships throughout the organization and conflict-resolution skills to effectively deal with difficult situations.
- Demonstrated ability to work with leadership to drive change within an organization.
- Effective time management skills and an ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
Certifications:
- Relevant HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR, HRCI) preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
