What You’ll Actually Do You’ll make court appearances, attend conferences, draft motions, and argue about property division and parenting schedules with grace. You’ll negotiate settlements and help people part ways with dignity. You’ll be Of Counsel, meaning you’re one of us, but also free. You’ll have a team. Support staff. Fellow lawyers. Actual systems. You’ll do real lawyering without all the nonsense. You, Glorious You • You move cases forward without someone holding your hand. • You’ve been doing this for 8+ years. • You know divorce law like the back of your hand. Responsibilities: • Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients • Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process • Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action • Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed • Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date Qualifications: • Candidates should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high • Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required • Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association) • Ability to successfully represent both plaintiff and defendant sides of a case • Must have worked on divorce law issues for at least 2 years; handling of real estate is also required. Compensation: $125 - $200 hourly
