    Senior Electrical Controls Engineer Schaumburg, IL

    Currently looking for a Senior Electrical Controls Engineer to fill an opening with a global company in Schaumburg, IL. Interested candidates should have at least 7 years of Electrical Controls Engineering experience in manufacturing with Electrical Controls Engineering for automation.

    Responsibilities of the Senior Electrical Controls Engineer

    • Design, develop and maintain the electrical controls for high technology automation projects that are all one-of-a-kind and not run-of-the-mill projects whereas you would be normally doing the same mundane electrical controls development on a daily basis - instead, you will be working on new, unique projects including the advanced integration for end of arm tooling, insert and injection molding, and many other applications
    • Apply your programming proficiency with Allen-Bradley Studio5000, RSLogix5000 and/or RSLogix500 PLC's
    • Hit the ground running with your HMI experience with any common software such as with Siemens, Rockwell Automation Factory Talk, Schneider Electric, ABB or Mitsubishi Electric
    • Use your knowledge with machine vision and integration with Cognex, Keyence or iRVision
    • Use AutoCAD Electrical (preferred) or EPLAN to design the UL compliant schematics for automation (24 VDC, 120/240/480 VAC) and apply your knowledge of the use of automation upgrades from companies such as Kinetix, Festo, IAI and/or THK
    • Be able to integrate Fanuc (preferred), ABB, Cloos, Yaskawa Motoman, KUKA, Kawasaki, Doosan, Wittman, Denso or Epson robots into an automated system
    • Wire, program and debug all electrical systems including with machine runoff/final performance testing

    Requirements of the Senior Electrical Controls Engineer

    • At least 7 years of electrical controls engineering experience in manufacturing automation with 10+ years strongly preferred
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar engineering type of technical discipline is a plus but not mandatory
    • Be willing to travel up to 15% locally and domestically to meet with customers on installs but travel is more likely to be around 5% as this is an on-the-shop-floor in-house position and working remotely is not available
    • No sponsorship or relocation assistance is available and local candidates are preferred

    Compensation for the Senior Electrical Controls Engineer

    The annual base salary for this first shift position ranges from $120,000 to $150,000 depending on experience and is expected to be within this range.
